Mid Essex Casuals - the sponsoring club, who arrange a large number of trails across central and north Essex and occasionally in to Suffolk. Members get discounted entry to trails and free entry to the winter cross country leagues. The club is a collection of like minded individuals - there are no formal or structured training sessions and a very easy going attitude to most things. Second claim members are welcome and we won't get upset if you prefer to do some things for your main club, which is why we have members across a wide area including Benfleet, Ongar, Colchester and Ipswich but with the main concentration around Witham and Braintree. Annual membership is just £10.

The Trail Running Association - who granted a permit for this race and support and promote trail running across the country.

The Stour Valley Path 100k, which runs through our territory using part of the same route and is a very well organised and supported ultra for those of you prepared to take a big step up. A large number of our entries are from people training for this 100k.
